Because of some odd public holiday (not "Recreation Day" as I'd thought, which Northern Tasmania gets simply as a counterpart to the Southern "Regatta Day" in Hobart, but instead "Eight Hour Day", a quaint commemoration of the introduction of modern working conditions about a hundred years ago), this weekend is a long weekend: Thanks be to God.
Soon I head off to Hobart (there's Latin Mass there to-morrow), and I'll have Sunday night in a B&B south of Huonville, since I plan some motoring around the Huon region on Sunday and Monday, before coming back to the world of work here on Tuesday.
