One of my coworkers brought in a basket of quinces today, fresh from her tree... she let me take most of them, and promises me more!
After getting back from Fremantle, I have stewed up a pot of quinces tonight, and am just waiting for their colour to change from pink to deep brick-red before I turn off the hotplate.
I like slow food.

Well, when next you pay me a visit, Rob, there may be some stewed quinces left to eat for dessert, rather than nothing at all, like last time! (Your turn to bring the beer...)
Sounds like a fair deal..I think a nice, crisp, German lager is in view.
