Don't forget to turn your clocks back one hour - Daylight Saving ends for this year in Victoria and Tasmania at 2 am Sunday morning...
...it was first instituted in Australia here in Tasmania, back in 1967, as a measure to save power during a drought that meant our State's hydroelectric power supply capacities were lessened, and needed hoarding; this year, it has been extended for a week, all for the vulgar reason that it suited the Melbourne Grand Prix to be held during Daylight Saving! O tempora, O mores.
