The Race that Stops a Nation

Americans may have their own concerns at this time; we Australians will stop nationwide to-morrow for the Melbourne Cup.  Here in W.A. the race screens live at 1pm, so we'll stop work and rush to assemble for its screening, and enjoy a sweepstakes and associated fun.
